This study examines the potential of the moveable prefabricated interior system as a cost-effective and flexible solution for leased commercial offices in Pakistan. The research is grounded in the growing need for adaptable office environments that can respond to changing tenant requirements, frequent layout modifications, departmental restructuring, and uncertain lease durations. In conventional leased office settings, fixed interior systems often lead to repeated renovation costs, demolition waste, limited spatial adaptability, and loss of investment during relocation. To address this issue, the study explores whether moveable prefabricated interior systems can provide a more practical and sustainable alternative. A qualitative and questionnaire-informed research approach was used to investigate the economic, functional, and environmental value of these systems in the Pakistani commercial office context. The study framework focused on key dimensions including cost-effectiveness, flexibility, adaptability, waste reduction, and overall suitability for leased office environments. For draft development purposes, the results section of this paper was structured using provisional data to demonstrate the expected analytical pattern. The findings indicate that moveable prefabricated interior systems are perceived as highly beneficial for reducing repeated fit-out costs, improving spatial flexibility, supporting office reconfiguration, and minimizing waste generated through conventional renovation practices. However, concerns related to initial cost, awareness, and local market readiness remain important barriers to broader adoption. The study concludes that moveable prefabricated interior systems offer strong potential for improving leased commercial office design in Pakistan by combining economic efficiency, adaptability, and sustainability. The research also provides a foundation for future field-based investigation using actual empirical data.
